I keep eyeballing my Gundam Wing DVDs and thinking, man, it would be fun to rewatch that damn show. A couple of years (!!!) ago I planned on doing like a group rewatch thing on DW but it never panned out. Mostly due to me not having enough time, haha.

Gundam Wing! There's a blast from the past.

I don't own the DVDs, and the folks I borrowed them from have moved away. I didn't watch the series until after I'd been reading the fic for a couple of years. My main memory was some level of shock at how young the pilots looked. I'd assumed they were five or even ten years older, just based on how they acted in the fic.

I watched the series when it started airing on Toonami in like...2000? Oh my god. But yeah, the pilots are all babies, which makes the fact that they're basically weapons of war more heartbreaking imo. ;3;

I think, for me, the big shock of the pilots being so young was the vast amount of porn about them. I'd read quite a bit, assuming they were older

Hahaha, yeah, I read a ton too, and wrote a little bit. That was my main fandom for a long time.

I would love to do that, though at the moment I don't have time either. The episodes are all on YouTube, or at least were last time I looked.

Man, it makes me all nostalgic for undergrad.

I've got some GW DVDs lying around too, constantly bothering me because I was all excited about getting them yet never got through more than 10 or so episodes. If you ever want to do an organized rewatch I would be down to join in!

If this happens, it'll probably just be two episodes a week with a discussion post everything Saturday/Sunday. Very much a casual "watch when you can" type of thing!
