YES. It was so much easier to follow conversations, to have the full story of what was going on, with threaded comments. On tumblr it seems like comments are discouraged; people use their tags for everything, which is absolutely not what tags are for. I do it too though, because I've seen people get dogpiled for adding comments to posts. It's ridiculous. :\
