Shit! It was cold this morning! We don't have any kind of centralized heat and we weren't ready, haha. The space heaters are now humming away in the living room and kitchen and I'll be breaking out the heated blanket. And I'm going to get up on the roof and clean out the chimney before we can use the wood burning stove. Aaahh, I love cold weather but I'm very unprepared for it. ;3;
Nintendo shared a picture of their Switch and 3DS 2017/early 2018 releases!

Aaaahhh. ;3; Fire Emblem Warriors, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (I never played the first one because I've never owned a WiiU but I've heard it was great), Octopath Traveler, Strange Journey Redux (I've never played Strange Journey so it's a new game to me!).
It's really awesome that although the Switch is now a thing, Nintendo is still releasing games for the 3DS. That's pretty great, good for you Nintendo. :3
I had a bit of a freakout on Monday and ended up not going to Spanish. It's passed midterms and I have an F in that class. I'm going to drop it, most likely, with full support from people who matter, but I'm not really looking forward to facing my advisor or the professor. I just. I've been a Dean's List student for most of my college career and I'm losing it right here at the end and I'm so disappointed with myself and I'm so disappointed with this school. I'm just. Ugh.

Hey, if dropping Spanish makes you a happier, healthier person, then don't worry about the rest. =) No one will think of less of you for struggling with a class, no one's perfect.
And like, jfc, I've no idea why spanish is so hard sometimes? I, for one, grew up around spanish native speakers. My actual ability to speak spanish, however? x.x Horrendous. I can't make my mouth wrap around all the words and I tend to not know/completely forget words to pull together a complicated sentence in spanish. I can read it and understand it pretty well however, which seems super strange to me, but maybe it's not? (And I manage to get a 90-something percent on my spanish proficiency test in middle school, but I have no idea HOW. I think the teacher pitied my simple little mind. x.x Granted, she was a mean teacher so I dunno.) So yeah, no worries if you're struggling. =)

I don't know what's going on with Spanish, aaaahhhh. I studied so much for the midterm, that's basically all I did, particularly the weekend before it, I lived by my Spanish textbook and studyspanish.com, and I still failed. Not just failed, apparently, I fucking bombed. And I know why; it's a one night a week class with little or no structure and I can't learn in that kind of circumstance. I either need to structure of a three day a week class or the ease of an online class. This has the structure of an online class and the hardness of an on-campus class and I just can't do it. :\

=/ That makes a lot of sense of why you have a hard time with it. Studying from a book can only help so much. I dunno if you plan to continue trying to learn spanish, and if not, you need not read on.
As I got older, I did worry about losing more of my grasp on the language so sometimes I'll say stuff in spanish, maybe a word or sentence. I can't manage a full conversation, but I try (oh, but my spanglish is on point! lmao). I do have the benefit of spanish speaking family, especially my mom (who's fluent) and sis, and it would be more helpful to have others to practice with but I know not everyone has that luxury. I know you have a lot of pets, it could be good to practice on them, maybe? Like, instead of saying 'food time!', say 'es tiempo a comer!' or similar. Do you ever listen to foreign music to help learn words or get a sense of how they the language functions? Like, I used to do that with Japanese songs and it helped me realize how they string their words together a lot (and I just double checked - yes, it's really helpful to listen to foreign music to learn other languages). Also, watch spanish shows/movies/news! With subtitles or without - I've heard with subtitles is especially helpful, especially if it's in the language you need help with. Repeat things you hear, out loud! Freak out your mom and just speak random spanish at her (compliment her! lol). xD Sometimes it just really helps to kind of... 'live' the language, you know what I mean? (ahaha, I should prob take my own advice so I can finally get better with Japanese. I'm just lazy. x.x )
Long story short, if you're still willing to learn, you totally can and will. =)

I'm sorry to hear about the school drama. The most important thing to remember is that you've gotta look out for your health-- and mental health is of the utmost importance-- over all else.

Thanks. It's just so frustrating.

I think it's great that Nintendo is still releasing games for the 3DS as well. I will say that I'm a Switch owner though so I'm still salty about the lack of virtual console on it. My friend owns a 3DS though, and she loves it. I've thought about getting one myself until I bought a Switch that is...lol.

I hope Nintendo keeps the 3DS alive as long as possible. It's a system with I've got a special place in my heart for, and while I can recognize how limited the hardware must feel by now, but I'm still kind of not ready for it all to be over. I do love my Switch though.

YES, GOD, THAT GIRL'S BOOBS ARE THE WORST.

THEY'RE NOT GREAT. The male character is just kind of boring looking but the girl, wow. :\

It's still hot here. I'm looking forward to next week when it is supposed to be in the high 80s.

Thank you. I know ultimately pushing Spanish back another couple of semesters isn't really the end of the world, it just kind of feels that way. :( I was suppose to get Spanish 1+2 done last summer but withdrew when Dad was diagnosed. It's just so frustrating and sad.

YOUR TWEETS MAKE ME WANT TO PLAY ETRIAN ODYSSEY.

there are demos for all 4 of the 3ds games on the estore too so it's really easy to try them all out! the two untold games are remakes of the original ds games (1&2) and have both a story mode (with a set party of characters who already have personalities/backstories & stuff) & the classic mode all the games have (where u design ur own characters+party). I started with the 1st untold & as someone more used to the types of rpgs with more story & predefined characters, I think that was a good way to ease into the series haha. 1 has really good map designs too imo, although the classes/skills are kind of boring as far as combat goes.
then I played 4 which was a lot of ppl's 1st EO game (b/c it was the 1st 3ds one) but honestly I didn't like it as much. the dungeon designs in that one are really bad imo. the classes are fun but REALLY easily cheesed, so if u like figuring out how to break the game that's a good one but once u do even the hardest boss fights become trivial which kinda spoils it 4 me
untold 2 I've only played the demo so far but the classes seem better than 1, the dungeon design seemed good, but I was really really annoyed by several of the story mode characters XD. in the 1st untold there was 1 character who annoyed me but I liked the rest of them. weirdly from what I've read online it seems many ppl feel the opposite way from me, they like 2's characters & h8 1's haha.
so far I am liking 5 pretty well. the dungeons are good so far. classes not easily cheesed like 4 haha so that's good, and I like them more than 1. you have a LOT more options for character customization b/c u can choose 1 of 4 races, then like 10 classes, & later each class has 2 specializations to choose from haha. but I like that it feels like there aren't really any totally junk classes. they did change the way food works to make it slightly OP imo BUT I'm finding as I further into the labyrinth I go through the food faster so it's becoming less OP haha.
anyway ALL THAT SAID! I would say, u can try the demos but if u want a game with a more developed story/set characters, either of the untolds is good. 2 seems like it has some better game play features but as I said I like 1's characters. (2 does annoyingly have a buttload of dlc including some that blocks off part of some dungeon floors unless u buy it which is super obnoxious.) if u wanna just play classic mode where u make all ur own party I'd def recommend 5 over 4. unless you're really into airships XD
oh also, another nice thing about the untold games is if u find making ur own party from scratch overwhelming the preset parties they give u in story mode are already well-balanced anyway so u won't like accidentally make a really bad party haha. also at least from playing untold 1 I think the untold games have more optional bar quests than the regular series & I always enjoy those
OH ONE MORE MORE THING XD. I also see some ppl say this series is grindy & on occasion I do grind a little but overall I don't do much at all. u'll have to leave the labyrinth to heal and go back a lot but with exploring the whole floor & doing all the bar quests I I found I was almost always at a good level for bosses etc without having to grind extra.
