FFXII: The Zodiac Age impressions and stuff

Everything is really beautiful in this game and I'm really enjoying the Zodiac Job System. So far I've set Vaan as Shikari, Penelo as White Mage, Basch as Machinist, and Fran as Red Battlemage. These work for me in terms of characterization..

UHM YES so gosh, I love these characters so much. *___* Also wow, I didn't realize that this game original was released in 2006. Jesus. Eleven years ago? That doesn't even seen right.

EEE! Vaan has always been a cutie, but moreso now! xD

I need this Zodiac Age edition in my life, but I'm going to pool my money together for the collector's edition, ONE DAY, since it's my favorite game in the series (so far?). x3 But this oh so make me want some Fran/Penelo fic so bad right now - or my OT3 of Balthier/Fran/Penelo. *nosebleed*

Oh dang, I just looked up the collector's edition and nice. I didn't even realize that was a thing!

Fran/Penelo is my OTP, although Vaan's my favorite character so I usually focus on ships that focus on him (my fave being Balthier/Vaan ofc XD)

I need to play this again. The first time around, I don't think I did it right because I didn't really GET it if that makes sense? That happened with me and FF9, and 9 is now one of my favorites of all time.

Oh yeah, there's a lot going on, haha. And it probably doesn't help that the character we see things through (Vaan) actually really isn't at the center of any of it. It's really Ashe's story, and Basch's and Balthier's story. And even Larsa's story. We just happen to be experiencing it all through Vaan's POV.

I love this game (it's in my top 3 Final Fantasies!) but the storyline does get pretty muddled.

Yeah, and when it came out, I was playing it in small chunks. It seems like one of those games where you need to put in a great deal of marathon hours in order to absorb the story right. Something FF games can get overly complicated, though too.

I'm enjoying this too, though I'm playing through fairly casually (just wrapped up at the Hennes Mine). The graphical overhaul looks spectacular, and the gameplay enhancements with the job system makes the game 10x more fun to play (the speed up option is pretty nice too).

Vaan as Shikari and Fran as Red Battlemage work really well! I took those two the same way :)

Vann was always pretty! The game got a lot of flak if I remember for him being too effeminate (from American audiences anyway)

I'll pick this up one day ;w; I still haven't had a chance to play through the KH games I got >_>
