Taxes done! All the forms I needed came surprisingly fast this year and I just do them myself using TurboTax. Now the waiting starts - tax season is the only time it pays to be poor, haha.

I've been getting into anime figures recently. I've never bought any before (except for two teeny figurines of Mako and Haru) but I saw this one was stricken with how absolutely beautiful it is. *__* Is it approximately $250 worth of beauty? Man, I'm still undecided about that. XD But there are several that I'm pretty interested in.

...but tbh while I'm thinking about buying figures, I already know my leftover tax money will go towards manga. >.> I know what I'm about.

I've been playing The House of Many Doors, listening to The Magnus Archives, watching the Alienist, and reading The Alienist. I need to catch back up on my cute anime, this is too much darkness and weirdness, haha. I'm really enjoying them all though, even though the Alienist novel is kind of dense.

I absolutely do not want to go to work tomorrow. ;;;; And I need to drop the kittens off to be spayed and I have to buy gas! That's too many things first thing in the morning! Being a grownup is so overrated.

OH! Mom and I watched The Cloverfield Paradox today! It was good, even though its connection to the first film seems tenuous at best.

There are some beautiful figures about at the moment. 3D printing must have made them way easier to produce or something. I'm a little obsessed with a few Nendoroid figures, and I don't even watch anime. They're just so pretty.

Being a grownup is so overrated.

Buy a $250 figure to make it up to yourself.

Ain't that the truth!

My return can't come soon enough.

I agree with that, too. Absolutely! A little aside for fun and the lion's share for responsibility tends to be the approach that lends itself best to responsible spending overall. At least in my experience.

I mean, look at it this way. Do we really deserve nothing for an entire year of hard work and contributing to the overall economy? I meant really? Hell no! We deserve to treat ourselves at least a little. It's just not healthy to give, give, give and receive nothing for it.

I haven't seen The Cloverfield Paradox yet, but I really want to! I'm not surprised it's connection to the first movie is so tenuous though. Cloverfield Lane was (on the surface, at least) connected extremely thinly too.
