Snowflake Challenge, Day 1 - About Me

YES HELLO. I am going to attempt to participate in the Snowflake Challenge this year! Wish me luck, friends. :3

The Boring
I am Nan! I'm an Aquarius, a Hufflepuff (although I'm not super into Potter fandom anymore), and an extrovert! I'm in my mid-thirties, was born in Texas, raised in the southeast, and now live in the PNW with my partner, our roommate, their dog, and my one dog and four (!!!) cats.

The Fandom
I'm mostly into anime/manga and video game fandoms. I have an account at Comixology where I spend too much money on various things (mostly shoujo). I'm currently OBSESSED with Genshin Impact. I'm primarily an m/m shipper, although I have f/f ships and even some f/m. I like drawing porn a lot and hate fandoms currently purity culture. I'm pro-shipping, including those ~problematic~ ones you get in trouble for on twitter.

What Do I Do Here/What Can You Expect?
I ramble! I draw! I occasionally write fic! I participate in exchanges! I've been terrible at posting content here but hopefully the new year will help kickstart my posting here! Fingers crossed, anyway!

If anyone has any questions...uh, I mean, feel free to ask away! Or just ramble at me! I dig that too. :3

Hello fellow Aquarius and PNW-er! I agree with you on your fandom views--purity culture is shit and creates so much harm. Fanfiction is fiction (!) and is a place where people can explore themselves and their ~problamique~ ships. If you don't like, don't read!

Problematic ships discourse is there just to help you ship them harder ufufu. I am not a fan of the purity culture either, especially when it's used maliciously to cancel someone. It costs nothing other than time and passion to produce content, so it's just a huge jerk move to break someone's spirit over it.

Same. I've not been affected by these people (yet), but I read a lot of post on Tumblr of people who have been and it's so irritating.

We only have one cat, but he was an unplanned addition to our family (we do have two dogs, no kids) and I'm discovering that I LOVE being a cat mom. *g*

Oh, I'm forever being told I'm doing fandom ~wrong and that I shouldn't write the things I write. At this point, it just makes me laugh and flames keep me toasty. I write the things I enjoy, because I enjoy them, and even after over 20 years in fandom, I cannot grasp why people read enough to comment on things knowing they... don't like them? I can't help but think *that* is the wrong way to do it *shrugs*
