Nov. 8th, 2021 09:56 pmWith Daylight Saving Time over, it's dark at around 4:45pm here. I'm so bad at functioning when it's dark out; I love cozy, spooky weather, windy and rainy, but the sun actually going away so early is Too Much. Despite this, I've managed to write (!!!) a fic yesterday (~600 words) and complete a fic today (~1500 words!). I'm intensely proud of myself! I'm flying to Georgia for the weekend to visit my mom. Honestly I'm not super looking forward to it. I mean, I want to see her and pet the dogs/cats and stuff but I don't really want to leave my home, if that makes sense. Not for Covid-related reasons or anything like that, I just. I'm a homebody, I guess! I would rather have these days off from work and have a staycation.
Speaking of work, it's been pretty miserable lately, in a very average "retail work requires teamwork and this team has been calling out a lot lately, plus home office isn't helping us with facilities issues so that's making everything harder." Which. I mean, there's nothing that can really be done about it. It's frustrating! But oh well. Plus holiday season is gearing up! So that's a little bit of extra crazy. But it's okay.
