I made the mistake of checking out Star Wars fandom on tumblr and oh my. Oh my. Look at all that ship shaming.

This is definitely a fandom I'll create stuff for but I don't think I'm going to engage with at all. :\

I hate how people are with fandoms and ship shaming; people should proudly promote what they like and leave other people's preferences alone!

Hahaha, well the ship everyone has a problem with is Kylo Ren/Rey but I definitely ship Poe/Finn and Finn/Rey, and am kind of being swayed into Poe/Finn/Rey. :3

lmao excellent! I ship most things (although I have a couple of notps...not in Star Wars fandom though) and I'm generally cool with people shipping things I don't ship!

I'm pretty much read-only on tumblr these days, and honestly I haven't even looked at it in about a year. I've heard that tumblr fandoms can get a little... judgemental is the most polite term I can think of. I wouldn't judge all Star Wars fandom by them, though. I know a lot of totally non-judgy Star Wars fans, it's just most of us don't have time to be really involved in the fandom, and/or the crazies have driven us all into our little corners.

Yeah, definitely. I'm forever bitter fandom chose that platform. I know there was a ton of negativity on livejournal but at least it was easier to avoid there.
