WELP. I've caught up on Free!.

WHOA that fight between Haru and Makoto broke my heart into a million pieces. Makoto telling Haru that they love him. And Haru running away. Ouch, ouch, ouch. ;;;

Rin and Haru in Australia was perfeeeect. It was so cute. Russell and Lori were amazing. The Australian accents were so good, although sometimes the dialogue was pretty damn stilted. Which, you know, isn't really a big deal, particularly with those accents. ;3;

Haru's epiphany was dumb but I lovedlovedloved the imagery of it. Him raising his arms and the shadow of the wings behind them. So good.

Also, everything about Sousuke makes me sad, even though his decision to ignore his injury and push through it was SUCH A TERRIBLE DECISION something about how he says "I've already reached my dream" makes me so sad. Like, you are 18 at the most, you've got a long life ahead of you. I hope he finds another dream. I hope he ends up in a university in Tokyo as well.

Also, wow, Haru has the most stubborn friends, I wouldn't have the patience to deal with him, hahaha. I understand being apprehensive about the future - I AM! - but the way he treated everyone....ugh. ;;;;

I'm really glad I bit the bullet and watched.

ALSO this stupid anime made me realize I really like sports anime so I've got to find more that are awesome and also contain shippable dudes because that's how I role. I know Haikyuu!! and Kuroko no Basuke are suppose to be pretty great so I'll start with those and continue on. ;;;;

Haikyuu & KuroBase are EXCELLENT choices. Especially since KuroBase has probably 2 more seasons to go!! We're definitely getting an S3 & I'd be surprised if they can fit all of what comes next (the manga ended a few weeks ago) into just one season.

Hinata (orange-haired kid) is ADORABLE and full of energy. Him & the grumpy-faced one (Kageyama) are a great pair.

ALTHOUGH I actually ship Hinata with Kenma. :3

I hope episode 13 makes everything okay. Really, I just want Haru and his friends to be okay again!

Yes, KuroBas! I surprised myself with how much I like that one, although I haven't finished watching the second season yet. I think I overindulged and burned out on it a little, because I'm maybe 8 episodes from finishing, and I just never want to watch them.

I would also like to recommend Yowamushi Pedal if you haven't seen that. Lots of potential ships to ship in that one, and it's weirdly charming. Everyone in it is such a nerd baby.

I still need to check out Haikyuu!!, too. I really oughta finish Kuroko and start HQ. Maybe that will be my weekend.

You should definitely get into KuroBas if you like the Free. It is so good, but I will warn you that they devote several episodes to each game, so you may have to watch several episodes at once if you don't want to break in the middle of the match.

But, yes...watch it.

If you like/have an interest in baseball, Ookiku Furikabutte is cute and has plenty of shipping possibility! The series is a few years old, so the animation isn't as great as Free!, but I still liked it. The games themselves can drag a bit, but some kind of character development usually comes out of it.

Inazuma Eleven is a soccer show with superpowers if you're into that. It also has a huge cast, so there's lots of ships as well!

All the other sports series are either card game based or manga-only, so I can't rec you anything else. But I may have to pick up KuroBase as well. based on what everyone else is saying.
