While I use DW to write my posts and the cross-post function, I still think of my LJ as being my online home. It's almost like... idk LJ is the house I grew up in and DW is where I'm livin now. LJ has been my home since February 2004, and I love having my life chronicled there.
I don't like the changes, a lot of the people I met there are some of the most important people in my life, on AND offline. People I go to gigs and conventions with. They've left LJ but we still use Faebook and chat and text and in person.
I cannot bring it in myself to leave my LJ. There's nowhere like it *clings to it*
I deleted my original LJ after a certain point (maybe 2009?) but I'd had mine since 2004 as well. I sometimes regret it but I know how I am and I know going back and reading that stuff will just make me feel even more sad and nostalgic so, haha. I created a new one that's basically a mirror of my DW but I definitely consider DW my internet home.
But I understand. LJ was such an important part of my life. one day I'll get over this constant feeling of nostalgia but...it's not today. XD
