I've been using it for about a year now, so I feel like I've either been doing something wrong or possibly very right. ^^;;

To be fair, it actually has a frontend now rather than requiring that whole upload-via-email thing, and I think that's new? (Of course, I've also been away for a while so I'm really just going by what the news email told me. XD )

Yeah, the frontend has been there, it just wasn't very user friendly (pretty much you had to grab the image url at the exact moment of upload or do arcane things on the management page).

I knew it was kind of hidden, because it was still clunky, but I didn't know it was that big of a secret.

Interesting. :o
I just played around with the post-via-email thing back when it was first introduced, decided that it was more trouble than it was worth and didn't look into it again because of that until I saw that news email earlier today, but it really is interesting to see how much of it has been there all along (or at least for a long time).

If I'd known people didn't know about the image hosting, I would have mentioned it more. ^^;; I just thought it was, in its old form, too clunky to bother with for most folks. *facepalms*

Should it ever make it to a point of functionality as LJ's old scrapbook, I'll finally move all my images and have no reason to have a paid LJ.
