So there's been yet another tumblr post about how much everyone misses LJ/DW. I reblogged it in hopes that more people see it. ;3;

I was bad and ordered Until Dawn. I'm terrible with horror games but this one is more of an interactive story (like Telltale's games!) so I'm probably going to be able to handle this. It plays off of slasher movie tropes, which I adore and forces the player to make choices that can have a ripple effect throughout the game. Basically, this is The Butterfly Effect: The Game. I can dig it. |3 I'm going to play it in the dark with headphones on and be so scared, it's going to be GREAT.

I haven't really been consuming much media lately. I might have talked imperion to watch Arslan Senki; I'll probably pick that back up before long. I also need to catch up on Agents of SHIELD before the 3rd season starts airing.

I still haven't been able to focus on things very well lately. It's frustrating when I look at things I need to get done. Oh well. ;;;;

It might be time to change my DW layout. :\a

I watched Markiplier play some of Until Dawn last night - its really amazing! The graphics are gorgeous and it's def like a campy slasher movie. Wow, and the choice system is fascinating - I'm gonna watch two other LPers play it to see how their stories differ. Ugh, I wish I could play it myself. T.T

I'm going to reblog that post too. I doubt people will read it and come back (the only communities that are active are Fandom!Secrets on DW and ONTD on LJ), but it's always good to spread the message. I miss being on both LJ/DW and seeing that it's really lonely around here makes me sad tbh. I remember when fandom used to be active around both LJ and DW, but it's all Tumblr based nowadays. I'm also finding other social sites as a replacement, but ello's kinda small ATM (plus, it's invite only, unless they've changed and made it public).

Hahaha, I watched Markiplier play a bit but he seemed to get frustrated easily with the characters so I couldn't watch him too much due to second-hand embarrassment, hahaha.

If I knew how to do it, I would record myself playing. :<

Yeah, watching him I realized he doesn't do big games well. He's better suited for smaller and indie stuff. I just watched HarshlyCritical's LP (what's up so far) and he's better though I wish he'd jumpscare more easily lol.

If you ever figure it out, I'd totally watch! =D

Yeah, it seems unlikely. However my reading page is relatively active; not like it used to be, but not a ghost town either. And I definitely prefer a quiet journal to the "screaming into the abyss" feel that tumblr feels like so much. Plus the callout culture and inability to really blacklist political and social justice stuff is frustrating. You can only blacklist what people tag, and a lot of people don't tag stuff because "everyone needs to see this." It's so annoying. :\

....man, I have a lot of negative thoughts about tumblr, hahaha.

Also reblogged. It's weird, tumblr is supposed to be the ultimate signal-booster and THE way to get noticed, but it doesn't work that way for everyone. Me included /bitter And while I've met some great people and had some awesome discussions on tumblr, it's too easy for the reblogs and responses to get lost in all the reblogging.

I get the feeling that a lot of people complain about how much they miss blogging platforms for fandom, but they don't really make the effort to maintain their own blogs? :))
