☆ We watched Independence Day: Resurgence! Dylan as a character was completely wasted; as Steve Hiller's son from the original movie, he definitely should have been the main here. Instead, we have the very bland white guy hero who came out of nowhere (he's an orphan - his parents weren't in the original movie) and his very bland girlfriend (who was at least the daughter of the president from the first movie). HOWEVER, Jeff Goldblum was delightful as always and the gay scientists were sweet (OF COURSE one of them died, haha, ofc). I also really liked that we took the alien technology from 1996 and used it in our daily lives. That was a nice.

☆ Mom and I went to the nearby outlet mall and did some shopping (I bought the cutest fucking leggings, aaaahh so precious) and ate out at a pretty nice restaurant. We were both in a good mood and we both got some good walking in before it got to hot to breath. It's been a good day. ;3;

☆ I've been on the NoSleep forum on Reddit and man, some of them have fucked me up, lmao. I'll be doing a rec post sometime in the future, although chances are if you're into creepy stories, you've already read the ones that I'm going to rec.

☆ I've had to do some pretty heavy lifting (70-80lb dogs from floor to about chest height) over the past week and I'm paying for it now. I'm pretty sure I pulled some muscles in my shoulder and chest; I'm experiencing a gentle, pulsing pain just under my right breast, going up to my shoulder. Boooo. If it doesn't go away, I'm going to the doctor and seeing if they can give me something. :\

☆ I'M ON VACATION! \o/! Until next Thursday! It's going to be an easy going week, I think. Catching up on sleep (if I can, reading the stupid spoopy stories I'm reading), catching up on shows (Voltron, mostly!), and spending time with my puppies and kitties. ;3;

IT'S SO GOOD. AND TERRIFYING. AND GOOD.

I'm usually pretty good about lifting things smartly, from the knees and all that, but a struggling lab or german shepherd complicates things, haha.

I LOVE nosleep. It's one of my favourite subreddits. I used to spend a lot of time reading it when I worked nights, until 11 PM, then I'd psych myself out walking home!

Yes, so far so good, even with the little hospital visit. We're getting some work done on the house too. Trying to change things around a put, slap some fresh paint on the walls.

Dylan and Umbutu needed more screen time and bigger roles I will fight people on this

I didn't really have an opinion of Umbutu so much but Dylan absolutely needed a larger role. So disappointed with that. I think it's kinda telling how inflated the white cast is in contrast with the original film. :\

I guess my issue with Umbutu is that I feel like, "This dude fought aliens for 10 years and can kill them in hand-to-hand combat u gaiz give him a big role!1!" Dylan was wasted fff. I was expecting at least some drama about how he felt pressure to live up to his dad's legacy.

I think the first movie was more, "America!!" and the second was more, "White People!"
