SO! I'm creating an artblog on tumblr. It's going to be art only, no me talking (well, no test only posts), no reblogs, just art. My question is, as I'm reblogging my art from other places, is do I want this to be a sfw blog? I've never made it a secret that I draw porn. I like drawing porn. I've consistently drawn porn since I was...a bity baby 14 year old on the internet. Every blog I've ever had (uh, except my facebook I guess) has had my porn art on it.

And I mean, my nsfw blog wouldn't be hidden; each would link to the other so it's not like people who follow me wouldn't know I was drawing porn. It wouldn't be some kind of secret. And I tag everything - kinks, triggers, even just nsfw stuff if there's nudity (even though immediately afterwards ten million porn blogs start following me, hahaha).

I just. I can't decide what I want to do. On one hand, some people don't like porn. On the other hand, I really like having everything in one spot (I'm going back to my original tumblr blog and if Free! people want to follow me, that's fine).

DECISIONS.

When I created my first tumblr, it was sort of an everything blog, but I decided to make it totally SFW. Eventually it evolved into an art/fashion blog, and I ended up regretting my SFW policy. There is often NSFW art I wish I could post.

So my advice would be to include NSFW stuff on your art blog, but be very careful about tagging it so people can blacklist it as they please.

If your focus is on what's easiest for you, well, do whatever's easiest for you. ;) I would definitely keep everything on one blog, myself. But if the focus is more about the audience of the blog, I think having a separate NSFW blog is easier. Not everyone uses xkit or tumblr savior, or sometimes they're on tumblr on their phone, etc., so some people just won't follow if the blog also posts NSFW. Whereas if you have a separate NSFW one and they're clearly linked to each other (or maybe occasionally when you post something you really like on the NSFW one you can provide a link to it on the SFW one or something) then people can always follow both if they like your porn. (Or even just follow the NSFW one if they ONLY like your porn! Haha.)
