I've updated my journal layout, since doing so always makes me want to update more. Which, I don't know if that makes any kind of real sense but there you go. |D

I've been playing Type-0 a lot and man, running around Akademeia reminds me so much of FFVIII that I'm having major nostalgia feels. ;3; I've played several of the characters now and Ace and Seven are easily my favorites. I like King's handguns but I wasn't prepared for them to run out of ammo, aauuugh. Cinque and her mace are hysterical. She seems like she's the smallest of the group and when she wields this thing, it's obviously too heavy; she struggles to lift it and when she swings, it throws her off balance. She's slow but when she hits it's pretty devastating. I like playing with Nine too. His spear is pretty great.

While I love having Deuce and her flute in my party, I really don't like playing her. I am no good with that flute, man. No good at all. I also was pretty terrible with Jack but he was Primed (whatever that means, I should probably look it up) so he was glowing and walking really slowly. If he were normal, I might like him a bit better. |D

This post makes me want to watch all the Marvel movies in order. I haven't watched the third Iron Man movie and I barely remember the first two films. Maybe I will...do this thing.

I've been suffering through a toothache since yesterday morning. ;;; I know I need to get to a dentist but not have dental insurance makes that difficult. I'm going to go eventually but in the meantime I've been going through the usual pain remedies; pain killers, salt gargle, peroxide gargle, and clove oil. My mouth is in a state of shock but it's helping.

While I'm not leaving Phase I until Marvel inevitably does a Phase II boxset after Ant Man, I have been watching the movies in order for my notes. Watching the first two Iron Man movies back to back did help me spot some potential parallels between people associated with Howard Stark. Now if I can just find somewhere to fit watching Thor into my schedule, I could get Phase I wrapped up.

I've watched most of the movies, just not in order. I'll probably skip The Hulk, since that's one origin story I really don't care about.

Yeah, Hulk's movie is somewhat skippable at this point. I mean, there's definitely some things that tie in with Captain America and The Avengers, but nothing that you really would need to know to get a solid understanding of who the characters are going forward (unless you were looking for what Bruce means about breaking Harlem or something).

There is a character whose weapon is a flute in Type-0?! Now I really need that game. (I... don't even have a PS4 yet, oops. One day!) I have, after all, fond memories of whacking monsters over the head with such an instrument in Illusion of Time (or Illusion of Gaia, I guess). Even if she doesn't hit things with it and just uses it for its intended purpose, I still want to play as her ~~and be terrible at it probably but who cares~~.

Yep! And as far as I can tell, she uses it for it's intended purpose. She can be played offensively and defensively but I prefer her being defense because she starts with the lowest hp and defense and I don't want her to die. ;;; Typically, computer-controlled characters will attacked whoever is closest rather than who the part leader attacks, but when Deuce is party leader, they attack who she attacked which I think is pretty neat. She also, if leveled up, becomes one of the most powerful ranged fighters (I think...she becomes pretty powerful anyway).
