this is just a huge mishmash of stuff

Life has been going apace! It's been smoky here for the past couple of days due to several large wildfires nearby-ish but it's slowly getting better. I have a new lead at work who gives me the creeps and no one else likes him either. I've been called out for not being "friendly" but I'm not obligated to be friendly with everyone; Politeness is all he'll get from me. :\
I don't think it ever got mentioned here but I recently had carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand! And then![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
cypher and I took the stitches out a week later lmao. It's healed up well and looks good! I've already been able to use it. I have a telehealth appointment with my doctor next week and I'm sure I'll be shamed for taking out the stitches at home buuuut there's not much to be done about it now so, oh well!

I also wrote my first fic in a million years. And Something Awakens, Fulgrim/Sanguinius, non-con, hemipenis, all kinds of nastiness. But not at all a hopeless fic!
I think I'm also going to participate in Kink-tober, altho I haven't found a list I want to work off yet. And considering how slowly I work, I won't be posting a piece a day. But there's should be some good inspiration to work off of. And new ways to draw porn lol.
As far as real life goes, the last week of this month is going to be pretty busy~! On the25th, we're going to the state fair; on the 27th my job is hosting a big company-wide convention that I need to attend (I'm pretty excited ngl, brand reps are going to be there and there's usually a lot of free stuff handed out); and on the 30th, we're going to the Great Pumpkin Beer Festival! This will be my third year and it's always a real good time.
Now to crack open a beer and catch up on my reading list!
