Year in Review

So. 2014. It really wasn't a great year, tbh! But let's go through it, month by month!



In January, I signed up for the Goodreads reading challenge 2014! I also failed this challenge, hahhaa. I also totalled my car. This lingered over the entire year and screwed me over royally in terms of finances.

In February....nothing special happened. I turned 28, uuuugghh.

In March! I bought Final Fantasy XIV, which is a wonderful game that I've had to put off indefinitely, sob.

I didn't post in April.

In May, I joined seasonofkink but like every other challenge, I completely failed, haha.

June...nothing really. I created a new tumblr account but have since abandoned it.

July, nothing.

In August, I started the most stressful semester I have ever had the misfortune of participating in. Fuck you, fall semester of 2014. You were the worst.

In September, I signed up for spook_me and trickortreatex and ended up not doing anything with them! WAY 2 GO. I also created this journal! Yay!

In October, nothing of great import or interest happened!

In November! FRIENDING MEEEEEMES. I subscribed to so many new journals and have met so many new people that I already really like and am invested in. Yay frans. :D

In December! I completed the worst semester ever. I failed on my December topics thing! I looked back on the year and realized how much of a failure it has been! GOOD TIMES.


HOWEVER something that happened that I haven't talked about on this journal is that I might have gotten a PS4 for Christmas! It came with a digital download of The Last of Us, which is what I'm playing. But I bought Dragon Age Inquisition, which is kind of funny since I've not played either of the first two. OH WELL.

It seems, just by going by my reading page, that 2014 was a pretty bad year for a lot of people. ;3; So I hope 2015 is kinder to everyone.

Thanks! It's such an awesome console. ;3; I haven't started DAI because The Last of Us is where all my gaming time has been going towards. |D But I'm definitely looking forward to playing. :3

Congrats on the new PS4. I haven't finished the first two Dragon Ages, so it'll probably be three years before I get to Inquisition.

I also didn't complete any challenges (stalled out at 36 books for goodreads) and only managed to finish Yuletide, which I count as a win.

I'm looking at poetry ficathon now though and hoping this is the year I actually finish.

I am! This semester should be awesome since I'm mostly taking major classes (and an English class!). And yes, here's hoping! ;3;

I am...a day or two away from starting Dragon Age: Inquisition. I just need to beat the second one (having beaten the first one a few months back), and I've only 1 sidequest and 1 main quest left in which to do that. This also reminds me that I need to post about why I still have not beaten Final Fantasy XIII.

I keep planning on starting it but then instead I keep playing The Last of Us, hahaha. I know I'll be spending at least an hour in the character creator; it's apparently really, really good.

I'm already pondering whether I want to play a rogue (plus side: never having to drag anyone else along to unlock things or disarm traps) or a mage. Also, I've been doing the setup for the in-game backstory so that it matches my playthroughs for the previous two games as much as I can get it to do so, just so I can jump right in when I'm ready to start it.
