a pet update!

nansliceSo Hecky, my lil boy cat, went the vet today. He's been obsessively grooming and plucking his fur and he's looking a bit shabby. He started when the kittens came and it's only gotten worse. The vet confirmed my suspicions; my boy has anxiety due to being the low man on the totem pole in our cat hierarchy. And not because he gets bullied, oh no! It's because no one pays his attempts at domination any mind.
Olivia, my mom's old girl, puts him in his place real quick. The kittens roll right over him, being wild little Calico cats who won't be dominated by anyone. Hecky gets mad at that and tries to attack Penelope, who has no problem taking it to him, although he pushes it more with her than with Olivia. If anyone actually gets in a fight, it'll be those two.
SO. My lil boy cat now takes Solliquin daily. Fortunately it's a soft chew and is very, very tasty.
Selphie, my five year old pupper, was sick overnight a couple of nights ago. She's a good girl though and whined loud enough to wake me up so I could let her out. We got up at 1:30am, at 3:00-3:30am, and then again at 4:30am. I didn't have work the next day, fortunately, and she seems to be feeling much better. Murray, my other pupper, watched everything with round eyes; for being a hyperactive little maniac dog, he doesn't like change from our normal routines. Bless. <3
