So I want to be vague because hmm but I recently, within the past eight months, had a bit of a crisis within my close friendship circle that has made me really question how strong those relationships actually are? Or at least, were? Anyway, I've been, hm, trying to hm, forgive and forget and look on the bright side and bluh and bluh. Last night it all caught up with me and I just. Lost it. Just cried and cried, all hurt feelings and betrayal. It was honestly, haha, a little pathetic. I think a lot of it was because work ended on an extreme sour note and I was just exhausted.
Anyway, so recently I've been making some strides to do things on my own, like you do when you're trying to be an adult who has no local friends to do things with but still wants to do things haha.
I signed up to go to Japanfest this September! It has a ton of vendors with Japanese foods and goods as well as an anime village, sword and martial arts exhibits, and a Japanese arts studio to learn how to do, flower arrangements and tea ceremonies and stuff like that. And a sake and beer garden! I'm pretty excited, that's a ton of stuff to do in one day haha. It's 10-5 so I'm planning on getting there early and staying late.
The Alpharetta Branch Library is hosting "The Haunted History of Ouija" on Oct. 5th and I've signed up with some strangers in a meetup group. XD We might get dinner afterwards and one woman going has volunteered to do tarot card readings! Nice and spoopy. :3
Also I think this year for Halloween I'm going to partake in a Trunk or Treat thing somewhere! I would like to decorate my car and give out candy out of the trunk, that seems like a lot of fun. We never get trick or treaters down my road (it's far too secluded) so this is a good way to partake in the festivities hahahaha
Anyways. I want to find things that are happening sooner but for now, those are good times to look forward to. :3

Date: 2019-06-06 08:38 pm (UTC)Definitely go and find things to do! They may even end up being ways to meet new friends, but even if they don't, you'll have done something fun.

Date: 2019-06-07 06:54 am (UTC)Japanfest sounds amazing! We have something similar in Feb here and I've really enjoyed every time I've gone. I hope you have a great time.
Can't wait to hear about Haunted Ouija, that sounds facinating.
Halloween is my favorite holiday! We did really well with trick or treaters last year so hopefully this year will be good too. I've never done trunk or treat but it sounds like a lot of fun. Anything that involves decorating and giving candy to kids can't be bad.

Yessss, Halloween is my favorite holiday too and every year it ends up that I don't do anything for Halloween! Which is such a bummer. This year is my year. XD
