Hello! I'm Riona. I promise I know how to spell Rinoa Heartilly's name and I don't think I'm married to Squall Leonhart. (And I don't actually think anyone's a poo based on which pairings they do or don't support. There's room for all opinions in fandom! Mike is my favourite Until Dawn character, but I still enjoyed your post in which you described him as 'THE OTHER HUGELY ANNOYING ASSHOLE' (which, to be fair, is not inaccurate).)

I subscribed because I thought your posts were interesting, and because coming across active Dreamwidth accounts is an exciting and rare thing these days. I don't expect to be subscribed to in return; I just thought I'd better leave a comment introducing myself so you don't go 'wait, who the hell is this?' if I comment on your entries. (I don't comment very often, though, so I shouldn't be a very intrusive subscriber.)

lmao no worries, I just thought your username was Riona, which absolutely works as a name. :3 I've also made jokes about people who don't ship my ships and I kinda think fandom takes it all way too seriously (I mean, I'm pretty ride or die with my ships so maybe being a huge hypocrite, but I'm cool with other people not shipping them!). Mike has grown on me as well and while he's not in my top three, he's also not, like, equal to Emily in terms of dislike, hahaha. As you could probably tell (because I probably mentioned it, I don't remember) I'm 100% climbing class trash, Chris/Josh is pretty much it for me, hahaha.

I'm really sad DW is so quiet these days so I'm going to subscribe back! Although I'm always okay with random comments (I think people look at the latest things page and find me there because I get a few random comments!). Nice to meet you! :D

I'm getting back into HP Fandom rn and writing YoI fic (plus some HP One-Shots) for the Camp NaNo (my goal is at 50k) :D

Ugh, yeah, I feel you on that. That was my experience at the 2011 Nano, after I'd finished the 2010 NaNo quite quickly. I think I got a total of 5k or something xD
I'm signed up in a German forum and we do so called 'Word Wars', which you might also know from the actual NaNo? We usually do just 30 minutes, but it's enough to really sit down and just write ^^

Hello! I feel like 2024 has a lot of hope attached to it already - I mean, the new year tends to feel that way, but there's a bit of foundational optimism there too. So let me add to that and your own hope that this is the year for re-engagement with words.

The PNW is a fantastic place to be for a nature lover. :D

Oooo... watercolors. My bestie's been experimenting with them. It's such a great medium. I've seen some watercolor fanart, but not a lot. Do you mix watercolors and digital?

Hello! Yes, it kind of feels like people got really fed up with 2023 and are planning to do things different in this year, which is also kind of where I'm at. It was a hard year! Let's do things to make this one kinder. :)

I have never mixed watercolor and digital but I've mixed acrylics, oil, and digital! It was an interesting little challenge, I had a good time. :D

That is such a beautiful area. I've visited there. Hoh Rainforest is a favorite. I live in central Illinois, which is much drier and flatter.

I do a lot of writing, poetry and some fiction, how to posts, that sort of thing. I love looking at other people's artwork. I'm a fan of watercolors and like digital art too. Ever try gouache? For a while I had a friend who was really into that.
