nansliceThank you to everyone who commented on my last post! It was an attempt to use DW more like twitter or plurk (a quick little update) but this is not that kind of website so it felt weird doing so. I guess my DW will stay more long form, haha. My company has pretty strict policies on attendance (five unexcused absences a year) but only if my supervisor actually marks them as a unexcused absence. I do have a couple but my PTO will kick in in about a month, so I should be fine. :)
Last weekend I took a very quick trip to Georgia to see my mom. When I say quick, what I mean is: on Friday, got to Seatac at around 5:30-isham, flight leaves at 7:30am, I arrive in Georgia at around 3:00pm, get to their house a little after 7pm, spent that evening, all of Saturday, and Sunday morning hanging out, then leave for the airport at 3:30pm, arrive to fly out at 7:50pm, and arrive back at my house at...some time after 11:30pm. And needing to be at work at 7am the following morning (Monday). XD
It was pure chaos. There are too many dogs and cats in that small trailer. I slept on the couch so there was literally nowhere to go. My sister and mom smoke in the house, so I was marinating in that all weekend. The house just smelled sick.
My mom is skeletal. 94lbs at 5'4". She seems so tired. So ready to just. Be done.
I was informed today that she's refusing any further treatment.
I've been dragging. I do not have any plans for this weekend except to mull cider and enjoy the spooky weather and try and watch a movie or two. One of my coworkers got me into letterboxd, a site to log movies watched. I really want to watch more movies and this is a good way to go. Add me there if you have an account. :D
I've also been reading more, kinda sorta! Friend me on Goodreads! I promise I'm not only reading Warhammer novels. XD;
I continue to be so delighted by Neocities websites. There are webrings. Visitor counters. I'm so happy. ;o; I really want to create a lil "home on the internet", which of course my DW acts as part of that but that's just like, my blog, not where I put all my stuff. Even though I was just talking about so many different social media things lol.
I guess that's all for me! Gotta get up early tomorrow. I'm going to wear a cute dress with skeletons and roses on it. :3 Happy Halloween, everyone. Take care of yourselves out there.

I'm still futzing around with how I want to set up the fic space (with almost 500 works, I really want uploading and browsing to be as streamlined as possible), but I also feel an urge to just happily indulge my old-school fannish instincts and, like, make a shrine where I just post pictures of my fave and link to other things the actor is in.
