I watched Dr. Strange last night! I liked everything about it except Dr. Strange himself! The Ancient One was pretty awesome and I would have loved a movie about her (the whitewashing was terrible but if they just had to cast a white woman, Tilda Swinton was a good choice); the magic was so, so cool, like Inception pumped up to 1000; the Cape was adorable and I want one; but Dr. Strange was a pompous asshole from start to finish. I know what they were trying to do but it didn't really go over well. He was suppose to start off pompous, then be torn down and rebuilt as a more rounded, more humble hero. It didn't work out that way. He fought against the Ancient One, he fought against Wong, he never seemed to be actually beaten down. He just...never seemed to lose that arrogance for me.
And okay, look, the only thing I've seen Cumberbatch in was Star Trek and tbh I didn't like him in that but the two people I went with watched and loved him in Sherlock so I was very willing to accept and believe that he's a great actor. But even they were like "maybe this wasn't the right kind of role for him?" Before I said anything about it!
SO YEAH. I enjoyed myself and I really liked the visuals of the movie, as well as the side characters. But the character Dr. Strange was not that great. :\
Also, who's watching Yuri!!! On Ice? I think I ship Victor/Yuri almost as much as the show does. So is this anime actually gay? Yuri basically confessed to Victor. I MEAN he also said it wasn't necessarily romantic love but you know. I don't care. I'm enjoying it a lot. The physical affection Victor bestows on Yuri gives me life and Yuri's huge crush on Victor is delightful. I don't have strong feelings about Yurio, but he's also pretty cute. <3 I'm adoring this anime so much.
Movies and things I'm looking forward to in the near future:
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: November 18th and aaaaahhhh I'm so excited!
Pokemon Sun and Moon: November 18th and I'm getting Pokemon Moon and I'm pretty damn hyped about it!
Final Fantasy XV: November 29th and I'm getting the special edition one from Gamestop. I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS GAME FOR TOO LONG and it's finally being released and I'm so happy.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story: December 16th, my friends and I have already made plans to see this. :D
I'm focusing hard on fun things because politics is bringing me down hard and it seems like there's no escape from them (and anyone who thinks this is going to be over November 8th is naive at best). MAN. I hate politics. ;;;;

Basically, in my headcanon, everyone is in love with Yuri. *_*

Have you watched Kingsglaive and the Final Fantasy XV Brotherhood anime? Kingsglaive was much better than I expected, maybe a little disjointed in its storytelling, but still fun. And the anime is pretty cute. I liked that it showed how each of the guys met Noctis. I hadn't been very interested in the game prior to that, but now I'm thinking that I'll definitely need to play it. Just, you know, after I've finished Witcher 3 (which could be years from now unless I manage to defeat my completionist nature).

I haven't watched them yet! I'll probably give them a shot tomorrow. I have a huge gap between glass and a meeting with my advisor so I'll have time to watch. ;;;
