So I had my doctor's appointment today! I also got my flu shot (finally) and had blood work done (to make sure I don't have like hyperthyroid or anything like that) and I was also prescribed antidepressants.

So she prescribed Cymbalta, 30 mgs for ten days and then the dosage increases to 60 mgs. I took my first dose about two hours ago and so far I'm not feeling any of the side effects so that's nice; I was really afraid it would make me nauseous (I mean I guess technically it still can but!). It also has side effects like dry mouth and weight loss due to lack of appetite but honestly that's just fine with me lmao.

After that, I had to drive to campus and turn in books that uh, were rented and due last semester. I had received several warnings about it and I ignored them because everything takes so much effort but then they emailed to tell me that they were going to send my account to collections if I didn't take action. So I asked I could turn the books in late, store manager agreed, and then waved my fee! Which was very nice and I didn't deserve that bit of kindness but I surely accepted it, haha.

And now I'm super exhausted. ;3; And will probably be heading to bed soon since I have to get to work early tomorrow (just 30 minutes earlier but that's enough).

Yay for looking after your health! Take care of yourself - I know how shitty the med cycle can be.

Hopefully the Cymbalta will do its job for you soon and you'll have more energy.

Those little kindnesses mean so much.

Oh, man, good luck with the meds, and go you for taking care of yourself.

I got a really dry mouth with desvenlafaxine, and I found sugarless gum helped (I don't actually like gum, but I dutifully chew it before I go to bed and wake up much less dry in the mouth.)

I got dry mouth with my medication, and the only time it really bothered me was in bed or in the middle of the night, when I was trying to sleep and it just felt really uncomfortable. If you have a problem with it, I recommend drinking more than you normally do before you go to bed, and keeping a glass of water nearby through the night - always sorted me out. I hope other than that everything goes well with them.

I hope the Cymbalta works out with little to no side effects. And that's great that the store manager waived your fee! Just goes to show that there's still kindness in the world.
