Mika is precious but also kind of terrifying? I'm not used to a character who has so little disregard for his enemies, who is so coldblooded when it comes to dispatching them. Like, dang, kid. But his little moments with Orga, and with Atra, and even with Kudelia, make him so precious. And in episode 7 I thought he was about to pull a Heero and self-destruct in his suit, haha.
ORGA. This guy, trying to hard to keep his family together. And, uh, I know it's probably not meant to be taken this way but he seems a little in love with Mika? Like, in episode 6 when he was talking to Biscuit and he was talking about why it seemed like he was choosing the harder, more dangerous decisions, he said it was because Mika's eyes are always on him. "“He’s strong, cool, and has courage. He mastered a Mobile Suit in his first battle, and now reads and writes.” And that he can't "betray those eyes." BRUH.
Atra is fucking adorable. She's just a precious little bean. I ship her with Mika, they are precious together. I love their interactions. I love that she really seems to care for the crew.
I don't really have strong feelings one way or another about Kudelia. At first I was afraid she was going to be really similar to Relena (and I know it's frowned upon to hate Relena, considering how much she got bashed back in Gundam Wing days, but I still really don't like her ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) but she's not. And I love that she started teaching Mika and the younger kids how to read and write. ;3; Precious.

Akihiro and the other Human Debris are fucking tragic, Jesus. How dare this show make me feel so sad? I'm glad Akihiro decided to stay with Orga and Tekkadan and I'm so glad Orga treats them as people (it'd really hard for Orga to remain a hero and treat them like trash but you know, I'm glad they didn't try to give him that kind of gray morality).
Yamagi clearly has a big old gay crush on Norba. It's so clear in episode 7, like dang.
I don't really have a huge opinion on any of the bad guys right now. McGillis Fareed and Gaelio Bauduin are attractive and plotting (and their dynamic kind of reminds me of Treize and Zechs, ngl) and Ein Dalton kinda makes me sad (I understand why he's seeking revenge and it's understandable, but Crank's decisions were his own and in the end, he thanked Mika for killing him) but other than those three, eeehh.
OH ALSO the harem thing is dumb as rocks, booo. XD
Trying to catch up as quick as possible so I can enjoy the season two simulcast! I know it's already started. XD

I agree with you that Orga seems like he's in love with Mika. He cares about the others a lot too, but everything comes back to Mika for him.
The names of Biscuit and his sisters kill me. Biscuit, Cookie, and Crackers? Seriously? Can you be more ridiculous?
Your mention of Akihiro reminds me that he's playing a huge role in the part of the story that I'm on right now. I really need to watch some more tonight and see what's going to happen with that!

He smelled the bracelet Atra made for him? He's excited about learning how to read/write? There are little pieces of humanity and even childishness in him that really make him a wonderful character.
I ship Orga/Mika so haaaard omg, why is there such a large height difference between them??? That's my kink but still, it's absurd.
Biscuit and his sisters are so ridiculous and cute, gosh.
Akihiro is precious and I have a feeling he's going to end up being one of my faves. ;3;
