At this point, with these classes, I just really feel like I'm wasting my time and I hate wasting my time on things I don't enjoy. :\ So yeah, definitely not happy about getting up and heading out this morning.
Yeah, I always felt like that in school. Like, we're learning about all this stuff, but how do I know it will even be useful to me in the future, beyond this class and this exam? It was super demotivating. I don't have any advice, I just wanted to commiserate (sorry).
Haha, well it's graphic design so I'm sure the practice will be useful in the future, I just didn't have the stuff ready for today and so it ended up being two hours of pretending to be busy. XD
*hugs* You and me are in the same boat, but it's with me and Liberal Arts in the Humanities department. Like I love my classes, but I wonder if it's all worth it in the end, since I'm coming back to reality and going back to college. I was about to go into Office Assistant for a certificate or an AS on Business Administration, but I've felt in my heart that business isn't for me, so I went with my first love: the Theatre and the Arts.
I hope things will go for the best on your end. :)
I just...graphic design is a good skill to have and I certainly know more about it and the various programs than I did before. At the same time, I don't really want to do product packaging and the fact that I'm spending all this time working on packaging and product setup and displays is frustrating because while I want to create products, I don't really want to create mass produced products, which is something heavily stressed on here. :\
They will! I know that even though I don't care about this particular project, there's still value here. I just gotta press on.
I'm very glad you're going with theater! People stress taking "practical" majors but in reality, jobs are going to be hard to come by no matter what you major in (unless it's something highly specialized, like medicine) so you may as well focus on something you really care about. Life's too short to short to focus on stuff you don't care about.
